ONE OF THE great modern debates of the Christmas season, the one that divides friends and families, is this: Is Die Hard a Christmas movie, or a movie set at Christmas time?
The Light House Cinema in Dublin says it’s a Christmas film – and on December 2, they’ll be getting into the spirit of things with a Die Hard-themed party.
For the evening, the cinema will transform into Nakatomi Plaza on the night of the corporation’s annual Christmas party, just before villain Hans Gruber arrives to take everybody hostage.
There will be drinks and festive banter before a screening of the film itself – and everyone is invited to raise a glass to the late, great Alan Rickman.
If you’re not into Die Hard (or you don’t agree that it’s a Christmas film) the Light House also has a full menu of seasonal films to choose from, from The Muppet Christmas Carol to Jingle All The Way to Elf Karaoke.
You can get tickets for the Die Hard party and all other screenings here. And a yippee-ki-yay to you too.
